The development of renewable energy projects and energy storage systems (BESS) is generating new opportunities for companies, industries, and public bodies in Argentina.
In this context, the Argentine-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Argentina), with the sponsorship of Aluar and 360 Energy, will hold the Renewable Energies and BESS Bootcamp in Argentina on August 26 and 27, an intensive training course focused on analyzing concrete applications, business models and investment opportunities related to this expanding segment.
The Bootcamp will be held in a hybrid format, with both in-person and remote participation, and has limited spaces available. Registration is available at this link.
Over two days, industry specialists will share practical tools and experiences related to the design, evaluation and development of energy projects, working on real cases of industries and municipalities seeking to strengthen their energy autonomy through solar, wind and storage systems.

The program will focus on one of the topics currently capturing the attention of investors and developers: energy storage. Participants will work on specific applications related to tenders issued by the Wholesale Electricity Market Management Company (CAMMESA), mechanisms such as AlmaGBA and AlmaSADI, availability remuneration schemes, performance guarantees, and strategies for structuring BESS projects.
In addition, opportunities associated with generation and storage projects for self-consumption and solutions for the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment will be analyzed, including tools to optimize the management of electricity demand, reduce operating costs and complement solar installations with storage systems.
Another key focus will be on hybrid renewable energy and energy storage projects, a trend gaining prominence in various markets due to its ability to provide greater stability and predictability to the electricity system. In this regard, strategies related to the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER) and value creation through solutions that offer predictability and support for energy supply contracts will be addressed.
Another highlight of the Bootcamp will be a visit to the Buenos Aires City Simulation Center, a cutting-edge facility developed by the Future Skills Agency that aims to transform training practices through the use of advanced technologies and simulators. Among the Center's laboratories are simulators for renewable energy, which will be visited on the second day.
As the finale of these two intensive days, an exclusive panel will be held: "The vision and projects of the protagonists of the Alma SADI tender," a dialogue with the main winning companies of the tender process about BESS projects in the regions of the country and the view on the renewable energy and storage market of the main winners in the tender.
The panel will include the participation of:
- 360Energy: Juan Pablo Alagia – Development and Technology Manager
- DQD Energy: Marcelo Rodríguez - Commercial Manager
- Aluar: Marcos Moore - Coordinator of New Energy Businesses
- Genneia: Agustín Heredia Barión - Public Affairs and Sustainability Manager
Confirmed speakers include Mathias Thamhain, managing partner of EMD SUR; Iciar Vargas, partner and Managing Director of Everyray Latam; Carlos Skerk, managing partner of Grupo Mercados Energéticos; and Juan Luchilo, general manager of CAMMESA, who will participate as a keynote speaker.
In this way, the AHK Argentina, through its training center “AHK Academy,” continues to promote training and knowledge transfer opportunities that contribute to the development of technical and professional skills in key areas for the energy transition, innovation, and sustainability.
