The 360Energy Group announced the creation of 360 EPC Solar SA , a new business unit specializing in EPC services — Engineering, Procurement Management and Construction —, focused on providing solutions for the execution of solar parks and energy storage projects for third parties.
As part of 360Energy's growth strategy, this new business unit is supported by the more than 15 years of experience it has built in the development and execution of solar generation projects.
In this regard, Francisco Recaré , the newly appointed General Manager of 360EPC Solar, stated: “360Energy has extensive experience in the development, design, and execution of solar power generation projects. Over the years, we have built a strong team that has allowed us to successfully construct projects in Argentina and Brazil, making us industry leaders.”
Throughout its history, the company has executed 20 solar parks and projects , reaching more than 500 MW built and deploying more than 1,200,000 solar panels in 8 provinces of Argentina and in Brazil.
This experience, born from the lack of EPC companies specializing in the sector at the beginning of the development of solar energy in the country, forced the company to generate its own construction team, which allowed it to acquire comprehensive know-how of the different stages of a project, from development, engineering and planning to construction, commissioning and subsequent operation, and which now forms part of the value proposition that the new company will deploy in the Argentine and regional market.
In this context, Recaré highlighted the opportunities presented by the market and the role that the new company will play: "The region, and in particular Argentina, presents important opportunities in the renewable energy and storage systems sector."
“In this scenario, the creation of 360EPC Solar allows us to spin off an Engineering and Construction business unit to support those who require competitive and innovative solar generation and storage solutions. We see particular opportunities in the industrial self-supply model, small and medium-scale parks, and BESS,” he added.
The first projects
Among the projects to be built by the new company are the Realicó and Arrecifes solar parks, awarded to 360Energy under the RenMDI program, and the BESS projects in Nonogasta and Realicó, awarded to AlmaSADI. All of these projects will be financed by multilateral development banks in a transaction led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which is nearing completion.
With these initial projects, 360EPC Solar begins its journey to position itself as a relevant provider of EPC services for solar generation and energy storage projects in the Argentine and regional market.
Two business units, one strategy
360Energy Solar SA will continue to focus on its core business: solar energy generation and energy storage, through the development of medium and large scale energy solutions, and their operation and maintenance.
With the creation of 360EPC Solar, the 360Energy Group reinforces its mission to be protagonists of the energy transition, in this case through the construction of its own infrastructure and for third parties, and the promotion of renewable and reliable energy solutions.
