The Chilean Solar Energy Association (ACESOL) held its Semiannual Ordinary Assembly and Extraordinary Assembly of Members, where it approved the updating of its trade statutes and renewed its Board of Directors for the period 2026-2028, reaffirming its commitment to the institutional strengthening of the association and to the development of solar energy and storage in Chile.
The activity took place at the President Errázuriz headquarters of the Adolfo Ibáñez University and brought together representatives of the more than 170 members that make up the association.
The day was opened by the president of ACESOL, Bárbara Barbieri, while the executive director of the union, Darío Morales, presented the proposal to modify the union statutes, in addition to the Board of Directors' Account and the progress report of the semiannual management.
One of the main milestones of the Assembly was the approval of an update to the trade association statutes, an initiative that strengthens the governance of ACESOL, modernizes its institutional framework and provides the association with a structure in line with the evolution of the industry and the challenges posed by the energy transition.

" The approval of these new statutes represents a momentous step for ACESOL. More than a regulatory update, it is an evolution of our institutional framework that will allow us to respond more effectively to the challenges of an industry currently undergoing profound transformation. With strengthened governance and a long-term vision, we will continue to drive the development of solar energy and storage, promoting public policies that contribute to accelerating the energy transition and the sustainable development of Chile ," stated Darío Morales, Executive Director of ACESOL.

During the Assembly, the renewal process of the Board of Directors for the period 2026-2028 was also carried out, whose members represent relevant companies and actors in the solar and storage industry, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of a key sector for the country's energy transition.
The new ACESOL Board of Directors for the period 2026-2028 was made up of:
Gabriela Chocobar from Grenergy; Claudio Henríquez from D´E Capital; David Rau from Copec Flux; Erich Schnake from CVE Chile Energía Renovable; Marion Chelen from EMAT; Jorge Meyers, professional partner and Ricardo Riveros from Alken Energía.
The new Board of Directors embraces the challenge of further strengthening ACESOL's role as a leading technical and industry organization in the country. "We are convinced that the experience, diversity, and vision of its members will be fundamental to continuing to promote an agenda that drives investment, innovation, the development of energy storage, and the expansion of solar energy as pillars of an increasingly clean, secure, and competitive energy system," added Morales.
With this renewal, ACESOL begins a new stage aimed at further strengthening the representation of its members and consolidating collaborative work between industry, the public sector and academia, with the goal of contributing to the development of public policies that will accelerate the energy transition and move towards a more sustainable energy system for Chile.
