AES Argentina will have a new financing package of up to USD 100 million to advance the expansion of the Vientos Bonaerenses wind farm complex , through the construction of phases III and IV.
The operation, approved by IDB Invest together with international financial entities , will support the development of 102.4 MW of new installed capacity .
Once both stages are completed, the new projects will be added to the 99.8 MW currently in operation and will bring the total capacity of Vientos Bonaerenses to 202.2 MW .
The financing will be granted to Vientos Bonaerenses SA, an AES Argentina company , through an A/B loan structure.

IDB Invest will contribute up to USD 20 million directly, while another USD 80 million will be mobilized through international financial entities.
More than 100 MW additional for the MATER
According to AES Argentina, Vientos Bonaerenses III and IV will allow the addition of 102.4 MW of wind power generation in Tornquist and Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires province .
The company estimates that the expansion will have an approximate production of 450 GWh per year , equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 150,000 homes .
The energy will be traded through the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER) , intended to supply large users of the Wholesale Electricity Market.
During construction, AES also anticipates the creation of more than 400 direct jobs , with the participation of local labor.
With the new financial backing, the complex will go from 99.8 MW to 202.2 MW , practically doubling its installed capacity and expanding the renewable supply destined for the Argentine corporate market.
