AIKO At Intersolar Europe 2026, INFINITE presented two new series of photovoltaic modules: the fourth generation of INFINITE ULTRA and the new Z Series . With these launches, the company raises the standard for mass-produced modules, with INFINITE ULTRA achieving an efficiency of 25.6% and a power output of up to 690 W.
Building on the proven technologies of the G3 INFINITE series, including InvisiRibbon Technology and ZeroGap Technology, along with the use of low-doping, high-resistivity wafers, the fourth generation of INFINITE ULTRA incorporates new innovations at both the cell and module levels. These improvements allow for increased power output and efficiency without increasing module dimensions.
At the cell level, AIKO has increased the average efficiency in series production from 27.2% to 27.4%, adding approximately 5 W of power to the module. This improvement is not the result of a single advancement, but rather multiple optimizations throughout the cell manufacturing process, such as the reconstruction of the front surface texturing, optimization of the trench structure, tunnel oxide engineering, optimization of the texturing under the poly-Si layer, advanced hydrogenation, and improvements to the poly-Si layer. Each individual improvement contributes only a fraction of a percentage point, but together they reflect AIKO's commitment to extracting every possible efficiency gain from the ABC technology platform.
At the module level, AIKO has reduced the area not occupied by cells by 20% compared to the previous generation. This improvement allows for more active photovoltaic surface area within the same module dimensions and provides an additional 7 W of power output.

Achieving this reduction required overcoming one of the industry's long-standing technical barriers: decreasing creepage distance without compromising reliability or safety. Traditionally, attempts to minimize the module's inactive areas have faced three major challenges: the risk of insulation breakdown, moisture and oxygen ingress, and void formation during lamination.
AIKO has addressed these challenges through a series of innovations. A patented nanoscale insulating coating ensures reliable electrical insulation even with reduced creepage distances. The ABC architecture itself offers greater resistance to moisture-related degradation thanks to its double-sided passivation design and the elimination of materials more susceptible to corrosion. In parallel, AIKO has collaborated with equipment suppliers on process and equipment innovations, effectively eliminating the risk of void formation and reinforcing the module's long-term reliability. The result is a new generation of modules that delivers higher power density without compromising durability, safety, or long-term performance.
For utility-scale applications, the 66-cell INFINITE ULTRA module delivers up to 670 W and maintains an 85% bifaciality factor. Under equivalent bifaciality conditions, the module provides approximately 20 W more power output than TOPCon 3.0 products, enabling developers to achieve additional energy production and greater land-use efficiency.
Commercial deliveries of the fourth generation of the INFINITE ULTRA series are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026.
AIKO has also introduced the new Z Series, developed specifically for the premium residential market. Designed around four key attributes—maximum aesthetics, maximum power, maximum reliability, and maximum fire resistance—the series combines the performance advantages of ABC technology with the design and safety requirements of high-end residential installations.
The modules feature a truly uniform all-black appearance, with no busbars on the front, homogeneous cell coloring throughout the module, reduced dust visibility, and a completely black back. The 54-cell format delivers 500 W in an all-black module of less than 2 m² and weighing no more than 25 kg, approximately 25 W more than comparable TOPCon 3.0 products.
To meet the expected lifespan of residential buildings in Europe, the Z Series comes with a 40-year product warranty and a 40-year performance warranty. The modules also incorporate multiple layers of fire protection, including hotspot temperature control, arc fault prevention technologies, and highly flame-retardant encapsulation materials.
The introduction of INFINITE ULTRA and the Z Series marks a new milestone in AIKO's ABC technology journey. In just four years, the company has increased the efficiency of its mass-produced modules from 22.1% to 25.6%, while also boosting module power from 570W to 690W. This latest generation reflects AIKO's ongoing pursuit of a single goal: capturing more solar energy on the same surface area and converting it into electricity more efficiently, further expanding the potential of BC technology.
Visitors to Intersolar Europe 2026 will be able to see INFINITE ULTRA and the Z Series at the AIKO stands, A1.470 and A1.570.
