CAMMESA published the final result of the dispatch priority allocation for the second quarter of 2026 of the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), with seven projects selected for a total of 193 MW .
Photovoltaic technology once again captured the largest share: five projects accounted for 136 MW , more than 70% of the total capacity awarded. The remaining 57 MW were allocated to two wind power projects.
The outcome confirmed the trend observed at the beginning of the process. At that stage, twelve projects had been submitted, ten of them solar, although the actual power requested varied according to the alternatives proposed by each developer and the availability of transmission infrastructure in each corridor.
Finally, 23 MW were allocated under MATER Pleno and 170 MW through Referencial A , a modality that contemplates up to 8% curtailment while the necessary infrastructure works are not enabled.

MSU Green Energy came out on top with three projects
The largest recipient of the quarter was MSU Green Energy , which secured priority for three solar initiatives totaling 73 MW , nearly 38% of all the power awarded.
The MSU Las Lomitas III park in Formosa and the MSU Roque Sáenz Peña IV park in Chaco received 8 MW and 15 MW under MATER Pleno , respectively.
Both projects were directly assigned, without a tiebreaker, and accounted for the only 23 MW granted under full priority. Las Lomitas III will be connected to the Las Lomitas Transformer Station, while Roque Sáenz Peña IV will use the station of the same name.
The company's third initiative was MSU San Martín Ampliación MATER Res. 360 + BESS , in Catamarca, which obtained 50 MW under Reference A.
The project combines a 50 MW photovoltaic plant with 50 MW/300 MWh batteries and was configured to offer operational performance equivalent to that of a wind farm. Its point of interconnection will be the San Martín Switching Station.
This is the only hybrid development awarded in this call and was presented under section A2 of Resolution 360/2023, which includes proposals accompanied by infrastructure intended to expand or improve access conditions to the system.
The result came just days after FinDev Canada and DEG , the German institution belonging to the KfW group, joined MSU Green Energy's investor base for the first time.
Each entity contributed USD 50 million , bringing the total investment to USD 100 million . The contributions were made through both institutions' participation in the company's International Green Bond.
The transaction was part of a $130 million expansion of the issue originally made in June 2026, which brought the total amount of the bond to $530 million .
The intended uses for these resources include 182 MW of new solar capacity and 150 MW in battery systems , in addition to the maintenance of existing assets.
The timing of this financing and the priority obtained by MSU San Martín + BESS reinforces the company's commitment to combining photovoltaic generation with solutions capable of shifting energy delivery to times of peak demand.
MSU Green Energy has a platform of approximately 1.7 GW , comprised of the El Chocón–Arroyito hydroelectric complex, solar assets distributed in different provinces and a portfolio of projects ready to build.

Capex secured 43 MW for Agua del Cajón II
The second largest individual block of the round corresponded to the Agua del Cajón II Solar Park , by Capex, which received 43 MW under Reference A after the tiebreaker in the Comahue region.
The power plant is planned for Neuquén with a total capacity of 100 MW and will be connected to the 132 kV Agua del Cajón–Chocón Oeste line.
The Calicanto Solar Park , by Calicanto Solar, with 20 MW Reference A, was also selected.
The project includes 42 MW of installed capacity in San Luis and will use the Nogolí substation as its interconnection point. Its allocation was determined within the Central-Cuyo-Northwest Argentine tie-breaking region.
Thus, the photovoltaic block was composed of:
- MSU Las Lomitas III: 8 MW Full .
- MSU Roque Sáenz Peña IV: 15 MW Plenary .
- MSU San Martín + BESS: 50 MW Reference A.
- Agua del Cajón II: 43 MW Reference A .
- Calicanto: 20 MW Reference A.
Genneia and Las Campanas completed the cast
The wind power contract was awarded to Energética Argentina and Genneia , which added 57 MW in the Comahue region.
The Las Campanas Wind Farm , presented by Energética Argentina, received 32 MW under Reference Category A. The development anticipates a total capacity of 185 MW in Neuquén and will be connected to the 132 kV Chocón Transformer Station.
For its part, Genneia obtained 25 MW for the Hucalito I Wind Farm , planned in La Pampa with a total capacity of 105.4 MW.
The power plant will use the 132 kV General Acha–Guatraché line and was the only initiative in the call for proposals that competed exclusively under Reference A.
Hucalito I joins the pipeline of a company that already has 946 MW of wind power and 839 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity , totaling nearly 1.8 GW between the two technologies. Genneia supplies more than 100 corporate and industrial clients and claims to hold 24% of the Argentine wind and solar market.
The contract award also comes as the company moves forward with larger-scale developments primarily aimed at the MATER project, including its new expansion in Mendoza. This growth is part of a strategy focused on expanding its offerings for large private users.
Reference A took almost nine out of every ten MW
The final allocation also highlighted the impact of transmission restrictions. Of the 193 MW granted, 170 MW fell under Reference A , representing approximately 88% of the total.
Calicanto, Agua del Cajón II, Hucalito I, and Las Campanas generated 120 MW through this scheme. The remaining 50 MW corresponded to MSU San Martín + BESS under the regime of Resolution 360/2023.
The results leave two clear signals for the next calls: solar continues to dominate the portfolio of new projects and batteries are beginning to become a concrete tool to overcome the limitations of the grid .
With five photovoltaic plants, two wind farms and a large-scale BESS component, the T2-2026 round closed with 193 MW ready to move forward in the search for contracts with large users in the Argentine market .
