The Future Energy Summit (FES) tour will continue with five key meetings for the energy sector: FES Peru , on September 28; FES Colombia , on October 1; FES Government & Investment , on October 7 and 8, in an unprecedented edition that will bring together for the first time in this format governments, public bodies, companies and investors from across the region.
The last two events of the year will be FES Chile , on October 28 and 29; and FES Brazil , on November 5, which will also mark the platform's debut in the Brazilian market.
The timing coincides with key developments in several markets. Peru has surpassed 22 GW of solar and wind projects at various stages of development. Colombia is once again looking to auctions after contracting 995 MW of solar and 100 MW of storage capacity . Chile has already exceeded 10 GW of battery storage capacity (BESS) across operation, testing, and construction. Brazil, meanwhile, registered 296 GW for its first battery auction.
In parallel, FES Government & Investment will bring together in Santo Domingo more than 25 ministries and public bodies from OLACDE member countries, along with companies, financial entities and investors.

The Future Energy Summit events bring together C-level executives, developers, generators, manufacturers, suppliers, investment funds, and top-level officials. They also provide networking opportunities where hundreds of industry representatives explore business opportunities and contracts related to the energy transition.
Peru: Over 22 GW of renewables and expanding storage
The second edition of Future Energy Summit (FES) Peru will take place on September 28 at the InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores Hotel .
The market arrives with more than 22 GW of solar and wind power under development, a storage business that could approach 700 MW by 2030 , and more than USD 12 million in investments on hold .
The combination of renewable pipeline, need for flexibility and new investments will put storage and the effective execution of projects among the main focuses of the meeting.
Sungrow will participate as a Platinum Partner, JA Solar as a Diamond Partner, and CATL as a Storage Elite Partner. Other participants include Jinko and Axial ; Solar Steel and Gotion ; FMO, Aurora Energy Research, Chemik Group, and Yingli Solar .
Colombia: auctions, BESS and new contracts
Three days later it will be the turn of Future Energy Summit (FES) Colombia , which will take place on October 1st at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bogotá .
The market regained traction after the contracting of 995 MW of solar capacity and 100 MW of associated storage . This was further boosted by the Reliability Charge auction, which awarded approximately 1.8 GW of new renewable capacity with contracts of up to 20 years.
The results, however, left unallocated capacity and projects ready to compete. Therefore, the possibility of continuing the auctions is gaining traction in industry discussions.
That is why companies Isagen, CATL, Terpel, Sungrow, SolaX Power, JinkoSolar, GameChange Solar, ISA Energía, Promigas, PV Hardware and Atlas Renewable Energy will be in charge of discussing the renewable future of the country.
Marsh, Nexans, Patria Investments, AFRY, Atera, Skysense, Alurack, TCL, CTG Latam, Vatia, Gotion, Yingli Solar, JA Solar and ERCO , among other companies, will also participate.
Towards the end, a panel with government representatives will address Colombia's energy priorities towards 2030.
More than 25 ministries meet in Santo Domingo
The agenda will continue with FES Government & Investment , scheduled for October 7 and 8, 2026, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic . The meeting will take place within the framework of the 11th Energy Week and will bring together more than 25 ministries and public agencies from the 27 OLACDE member countries.
Ministers, regulators, electricity companies, developers, technology providers, financial institutions, and investors will all converge at the same venue. The agenda will focus on private investment, public tenders, solar and wind energy competitiveness, energy storage, financing, and the transformation of energy companies.
There will also be sessions between CEOs and ministers, meetings between companies and governments, meetings with financial entities, and spaces for institutional and technical networking.
It is worth noting that the countries represented in OLACDE supply more than 600 million people , making the meeting one of the main points of contact between energy policy and private investment in the region.
Registration will be free and opportunities to participate can be managed through info@futurenergysummit.com .
Chile: More than 10 GW BESS and new supply needs
On October 28 and 29 , the tour will arrive at FES Chile , at a time when it is in a more advanced stage of storage.
The country already has over 10 GW of BESS capacity across operational, testing, and under-construction projects. Of that total, 2.7 GW are operational, 3.2 GW are being tested, and 5 GW are under construction . There are another 29 GW in different stages of environmental processing.
The growth in storage coincides with new signals regarding the supply of regulated customers, one of which is that the National Energy Commission (CNE) reduced its demand projection by up to 2231 GWh compared to the calculation made a year earlier.
Even so, it forecasts a supply deficit of 4538 GWh by 2031, which will require opening another tender.
Before that, the market will have to go through the 2026/01 Supply Tender , which includes 2835 GWh , divided into a block of 1575 GWh per year from 2029 and another of 1260 GWh per year from 2030 , both with 15-year contracts.
The submission and opening of technical and administrative bids is scheduled for December 4, 2026. The opening of the financial bids, if there is no second stage, will take place on January 5, 2027 , while the award is scheduled for January 13 .
In this scenario, FES Chile will bring together CEOs, investors, developers, manufacturers, generators, EPC contractors, large consumers, authorities and industry associations.
Brazil: 296 GW signed up for BESS and over 900 GW offshore
The closing of the 2026 Future Energy Summit tour will be on November 5 with FES Brazil , the first edition of the event in that market.
Brazil arrives with figures that reflect the scale of its system and the new opportunities opening up in storage and offshore wind, including the record 296 GW registered for its first stand-alone BESS auction .
However, the market works with a contracting reference of between 2 and 5 GW , equivalent to 8 and 20 GWh for four-hour systems.
The projects must exceed 30 MW , have four hours of storage capacity, and begin supplying energy by August 1, 2028. The contracts will have a duration of 15 years .
The expansion of photovoltaics is also setting the pace for the market. The country has 74.3 GW of solar capacity in operation , equivalent to 27.4% of an electricity grid of 270.81 GW , according to ABSOLAR data updated to July 20, 2026.
Of the total, 51.69 GW correspond to distributed micro and mini generation and 22.62 GW to centralized generation .
Although renewable growth also amplified the curtailments, so that during the first three months of the year they reached 17.2% of all solar and wind generation , compared to 15.3% in the same period of the previous year.
Offshore wind power will open another front.
EPE established the procedure to identify and prioritize the areas that can be included in future auctions and has already delimited 20 regions with different wind patterns and three offshore hotspots , with a technical offshore potential that exceeds 900 GW .
At the same time, the portfolio under licensing was reduced from 96 projects and 234 GW in January 2024 to 59 initiatives and around 134 GW in February 2026 .
FES Brazil 's planned agenda will include public-private partnerships, business leadership, technological innovation, storage, investment, solar and wind projects, hybridization, and sustainable finance.
Five markets and an agenda defined by investment and flexibility
The five meetings will come at different stages of development, but with increasingly interconnected themes: auctions, storage, network congestion, financing, hybridization, and new supply needs.
FES Peru, FES Colombia, FES Government & Investment, FES Chile and FES Brazil will bring together the main companies in the sector, authorities, investors and technology providers around these definitions.
In addition to the panels, the meetings will maintain one of the central features of Future Energy Summit : networking spaces where hundreds of executives meet to identify opportunities, structure alliances and advance contracts.
The second half of the year will thus leave a packed agenda of key decisions. And a good part of these will involve five markets that are already preparing their next energy investment cycle.
