Copec, through its subsidiary Copec EMOAC - specializing in renewable energy solutions - signed an agreement with Ariztía, one of the leading companies in the agri-food sector in Chile, to supply all its plants and operations with 108.6 GWh of 100% renewable energy annually.
The alliance, signed under the free client modality, will last for seven years, beginning on May 1, 2025 and extending until 2032, and will allow the company to operate continuously with a clean, certified and traceable energy matrix throughout its production system at the national level.
The supply will come from sources such as sun, wind, water and biomass, and will be supported by energy traceability systems, which allow verification of the renewable origin of the energy through international I-REC and CER certifications.
In addition, online monitoring tools, customized reports, and ongoing advisory services will be incorporated for more efficient and transparent energy management.

We are very pleased to accompany Ariztía today in a new milestone: the integration of 100% renewable energy into its operations.
We do this through solutions that were specially designed to meet their energy challenges, reaffirming our commitment to the sustainable development of Chile and its industries in the context of the energy transition, said Arturo Natho, general manager of Copec.
At SEn ARIZTIA we are working hard to raise our sustainability goals with future generations of Chileans in mind.
We have entrusted this contract to a large company like Copec EMOAC, which will allow us to significantly reduce our environmental impact.
Other aspects of our program in which we have been leaders include the use of recyclable packaging, efficient water use, respect for and development of our communities, and animal welfare certification. This new initiative will further enhance our efforts to minimize our carbon footprint,” said Paulo Ariztia B., General Manager of Empresas Ariztía.
Environmental impact and operational efficiency
It is estimated that, during the seven years of the agreement, Ariztía will be able to avoid the emission of more than 21,000 tons of CO2, contributing significantly to the reduction of its environmental footprint.
This figure demonstrates the real impact that the productive sector can have on the country's energy transition, and reaffirms the commitment of both companies to the challenges of climate change and long-term sustainability.
Ariztía positions itself as a benchmark in its industry by incorporating clean energy into its production processes, thus achieving that around 90% of its processes that require electricity have zero emissions.
This agreement was supported and advised by Valgesta Energía and Alma Energía, who played a key role in the design, structuring and management of the contract, contributing their technical and strategic experience to ensure an efficient, sustainable energy solution aligned with the objectives of both companies.
