Puerta de Oro , Colombia 's largest solar park, is changing hands. Patria Investments has agreed to sell 100% of its Infrastructure Fund V stake to ISAGEN. in the 360 MWp photovoltaic asset located in Cundinamarca.
The transaction marks Patria Infrastructure V's first divestment and comes just 2.5 years after the fund's entry , a period in which the project went from an initial development stage to construction, financing and commercial operation.
The park is located in the municipalities of Guaduas and Chaguaní and has more than 511,000 solar modules distributed over approximately 530 hectares .
With an installed capacity of 360 MWp , Puerta de Oro is positioned as one of the largest renewable assets in the country.

The sale to ISAGEN is not yet completely finalized: the agreement remains subject to customary closing conditions and relevant regulatory approvals .
The financial scale of the project is also relevant.
Puerta de Oro obtained more than COP 1 billion , equivalent to approximately USD 250 million , in project financing provided by Bancolombia, Grupo Aval and FDN, in addition to concessional resources from the Inter-American Development Bank and the Climate Investment Funds.
Patria had joined the project in 2024 and accompanied its evolution until the operational stage.
“Puerta de Oro is a clear example of Patria’s ability to identify attractive infrastructure opportunities and generate value by taking projects through their entire development cycle,” said José Mestres , Infrastructure Partner at Patria Investments.
The executive highlighted that the fund supported the asset from structuring and financing through construction, commissioning, and subsequent sale.
An asset with an annual capacity of 728 GWh is transferred to ISAGEN
Puerta de Oro expects to generate approximately 728 GWh of clean energy per year .
According to estimates released by Patria, that volume is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 390,000 homes and would allow avoiding around 370,000 tons of CO₂ per year .
The development also had a local impact during its construction.
The project generated more than 2,000 jobs , of which approximately 95% were filled by local workers.
This was complemented by investments related to education, access to water and community infrastructure in Guaduas and Chaguaní.
For ISAGEN, the acquisition adds a large-scale, already operational solar asset to its portfolio, while for Patria it represents the realization of the value built during the investment cycle.
“The sale allows us to realize the value created during our investment and return capital to our investors, while solidly positioning Puerta de Oro for its next phase under ISAGEN’s ownership,” Mestres added.
The operation also confirms a trend of increased activity in the Colombian renewable energy market: assets that have already passed the development, construction and financing stages are beginning to enter a phase of capital rotation and consolidation among major players in the sector.
