Future Energy Summit (FES) Peru is entering its final stretch and there are only a few tickets left for the second edition of the event , which will take place on September 28 at the InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores Hotel.
The meeting comes at a crucial time for the Peruvian electricity market. The country has over 22 GW of solar and wind power in various stages of development , while energy storage is beginning to gain ground with a potential that could reach approximately 700 MW by 2030 .
The scale of the pipeline contrasts sharply with the current operational capacity. Peru has 1095.4 MW of solar and 1021.3 MW of wind power installed , equivalent to 2116.7 MW between both technologies.

The potential leap is considerable. The photovoltaic portfolio reaches 13,778 MW , but only 2,726 MW have a Definitive Generation Concession. In wind power, there are 8,243 MW under development , although only 988 MW have reached that level of administrative progress.
That difference between announced projects and actual capacity being developed will be one of the main topics of discussion during FES Peru.
The market has competitive resources, particularly solar in the south and wind on the coast , but the next stage will increasingly depend on regulatory conditions, grid availability, financing and the ability to bring projects to construction.
Added to this is the need for system flexibility, which is beginning to position storage as an increasingly relevant technology.
In that scenario, Sungrow will participate as Platinum Partner, JA Solar as Diamond Partner and CATL as Storage Elite Partner.
Companies such as Jinko, Axial, Solar Steel, Gotion, FMO, Aurora Energy Research, Chemik Group and Yingli Solar , among other players in the international energy market, will also be part of the meeting.
One of the highlights of the day will be the panel “Regulatory framework and strategic vision: What does Peru need to unlock the next wave of renewable investments?” .
The conversation will bring together Marco Fragale, CEO of Orygen; Juan Elías Salinas, general manager of Fenix Power; and Rosa María Flores-Araoz, CEO of Kallpa Generación .
The debate points directly to one of the main tensions in the market: Peru already has a significant portfolio of projects, but a large part still needs to overcome regulatory, technical and financial barriers to materialize.
Storage, networking, and investment move to the center of the agenda
The program will also focus on the technological evolution of the sector.
Among the topics planned are innovation, storage and efficiency as a new equation for solar competitiveness , as well as the role of networks, storage and new generation in the Peruvian electricity system.
Another section will analyze how the electricity market could evolve over the next ten years , including demand growth, capacity expansion, and price formation.
Success stories and experiences related to the development, engineering, construction, services and operation of renewable energy plants and storage systems will also be presented.
Financing will also take center stage, with discussions focused on identifying what conditions can improve the bankability of projects and accelerate new investments in clean energy .
In parallel, the business models associated with renewables and BESS will seek to answer a question that is gaining importance in Peru: how to convert the growth of these technologies into economically sustainable projects capable of providing flexibility to the system.
FES Peru will thus arrive in Lima with a market that brings together resources, demand, projects and interested companies , but which still faces pending decisions to accelerate its execution.
With more than 22 GW of renewables in the pipeline and around 700 MW of potential storage by 2030 , the challenge is no longer just about generating new projects, but about determining how many will be able to navigate the regulatory process, secure financing, access the grid and ultimately become operational capacity .
With just a few days until the event, the last available tickets mark the countdown to a day in which regulation, investment, storage and effective project execution will be at the center of the Peruvian energy discussion .
