MSU Green Energy added two top-tier international development finance institutions to its investor base for the first time: FinDev Canada , Canada's development finance institution, and DEG, Germany's development finance institution and a member of the KfW group.
Both institutions made an investment of USD 50 million each, totaling USD 100 million, which will contribute to supporting the growth of MSU Green Energy and the development of its renewable energy generation and storage platform.
The addition of FinDev Canada and DEG represents significant support for MSU Green Energy's long-term strategy and expands its international investor base with two institutions that promote the financing of sustainable infrastructure projects in emerging markets.
The investment is the result of a collaborative process developed over the past six months, which included a financial, corporate, environmental, and social assessment of the company. As part of this process, MSU Green Energy will continue to strengthen its environmental, social, and governance policies and practices, with the support and guidance of both institutions, in line with the highest international standards.

“The investment from FinDev Canada and DEG marks a significant milestone in MSU Green Energy’s history. Their participation represents important support for our growth strategy, the quality of our assets, and our commitment to international best practices. We are very proud to begin a long-term relationship with institutions that share our vision of sustainable development and growth of energy infrastructure in Argentina,” stated Hernán Walker , Director and Chief Financial Officer of MSU Green Energy.
With approximately 1.7 GW of installed capacity, MSU Green Energy has an integrated platform of hydroelectric, solar, and energy storage generation. The company operates the El Chocón–Arroyito hydroelectric complex and a portfolio of solar assets in various provinces of Argentina, and has a pipeline of projects ready for construction that will allow it to continue expanding its capacity.
FinDev Canada and DEG's investment was implemented through their participation in MSU Green Energy's International Green Bond, by acquiring securities worth USD 50 million each.
The transaction was carried out as part of a USD 130 million expansion of the issue originally made in June 2026, bringing the total amount of the bond to USD 530 million.
The funds will contribute, among other eligible uses under the green bond framework, to the development of new renewable generation and storage projects, including 182 MW of solar capacity and 150 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as to the maintenance of existing renewable assets.
