In the first week of June, Goldwind Argentina installed the last of the GW165 model wind turbines of the La Flecha wind farm of Aluar, which has 336 MW and becomes the largest wind industry project in the country developed to date.
Thus, the stage was completed ahead of schedule and in compliance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
The scale of the project demanded a complex logistical operation, which involved unloading 6 multipurpose ships at the port and transporting the tower components overland from Florencio Varela to Puerto Madryn, covering more than 1,400 kilometers, without any reported incidents.
The commissioning of the 336 MW wind power will mean for Aluar a decrease in gas consumption of 1,300,000 m³ per day, and a reduction of 580,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.

"With planning and determination, the results are clear. We are strengthening Argentina's energy matrix, reducing emissions, and leading the transition to a more renewable future," emphasized Jesús Caraballo , Project Manager at Goldwind.
Project History
At the end of 2023, Goldwind Argentina signed a contract with Aluar for the supply of 52 GW165 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 6 MW, equipped with the PMDD (Permanent Magnet Direct Drive) system. In mid-2024, an expansion was approved, adding 4 more turbines and increasing the total installed capacity from the originally projected 312 MW to a final 336 MW.
The first milestone in the construction of the Wind Farm began in the third quarter of that year, with the arrival of the first components from Taicang, China to the port of Puerto Madryn, Chubut.
With the installation of this last wind turbine in June of this year, another important stage concludes, with commercial operation expected to begin in October 2026.
