Goldwind, a provider of comprehensive wind energy solutions, is in the top 3 of Bloomberg NEF's 2021 global wind turbine market share report for exceeding 12 GW globally.
In Argentina, the company is also among the industry leaders.
It has five operational wind farms for ~350 MW, of which three are the most emblematic, having been highlighted by the Wholesale Market Management Company as those with the highest plant factor in this technology in the country: 61.1%, 60.2% and 57%.
As if that weren't enough, the company is aiming for more.

Sources close to Energía Estratégica reveal that Goldwind aims to increase its market share and improve its competitiveness with a major business strategy.
As a first step, the company made several offers in the latest round of the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), resuming the dynamics in the market between private entities with new proposals to expand its generation fleet.
Furthermore, this media outlet was exclusively informed that Goldwind signed a key agreement with a local player to begin manufacturing wind turbine towers in Argentina.
With this initiative, the company would ensure even greater competitiveness in the market. How? Not only will it reduce supply and logistics times and costs for this component, but it would also gain access to other benefits by guaranteeing a higher percentage of "local components" in new projects.
This is no small matter, since, if it is awarded in the last round of MATER and activates the start-up of local tower production, the company would motivate not only more investments linked to renewables in the country, but also better prices in energy supply contracts with private companies.
