The award obtained in the PEG-5 reverse auction sets the stage for this new phase of financing. The projects aim to contribute to the diversification of the national energy mix by incorporating photovoltaic generation and storage solutions that will strengthen the reliability of the electrical system.

In April, Francisco Gutiérrez, CEO of Grupo Dragón , highlighted the importance of this award for the company's international strategy: "This award reaffirms our ability to develop competitive and sustainable projects in international markets, as well as our commitment to the energy transition in the region."
At that time, the company reported that the initiatives were progressing through their structuring and development stages, including the definition of long-term financing schemes and the selection of generation and storage technologies.
With the financing secured for its first solar park in Guatemala, Grupo Dragón continues its portfolio awarded in the PEG-5 and reaffirms its regional growth strategy, aimed at driving the energy transition and promoting inclusive prosperity in Central America.
