The 2026 Future Energy Summit (FES) tour continues its journey through Latin America with two strategic stops: FES Guatemala on May 14 and FES Mexico on May 19.
The meetings will once again bring together hundreds of C-Level executives, leading companies and top officials to discuss the present and future of the energy transition in the region.
Both FES events will be broadcast live through the official Future Energy Summit channel and will reflect the dynamism of markets undergoing structural changes in their development schemes.
In the case of Guatemala, the event will take place in a context of expansion of the generating park with a marked penetration of renewable energies.

The recent PEG-5 tender awarded 1505 MW at an average price of 101.09 USD/MWh , of which 1102 MW correspond to clean technologies , highlighting 713 MW of solar with storage , which confirms the progress of hybrid solutions in the country.

This scenario will be analyzed together with key figures such as Víctor Hugo Ventura, Minister of Energy and Mines , and Juan Fernando Castro Martínez, Vice Minister of Energy , who have already confirmed their participation.
This first edition of FES Guatemala is accompanied by top-level companies such as Sungrow, JA Solar, Huawei, CATL, Jinko Solar, Schletter, Gotion, FMO, Solar Steel, Solax Power, Milwaukee Tool, GCL, Atera Energy, TCL, Marsh McLennan, Alurack, CIFI, Astumardi Reneergy, BLC Power Generation, Ventus and Latnovva , consolidating a space where investment decisions, technological innovation and public policies intersect.

For its part, Mexico arrives at the event with an unprecedented level of competition and a redesign of its participation mechanisms. The country has already awarded more than 3.3 GW of capacity along with 1.2 GW of storage , out of a total of nearly 6 GW offered, which has prompted new calls for bids to expedite permits and enable, for the first time, specific tenders for stand-alone BESS systems.

In parallel, the mixed development scheme with CFE generated 222 initiatives for almost 38 GW , exceeding the available capacity by 580%, under contracts of up to 25 years with guaranteed purchase of 70% of the energy.
This highly competitive and regulatory environment will be a central topic of discussion at FES Mexico , where executives from leading companies such as EDF, ContourGlobal, Valia Energía, and AES Mexico will participate, along with firms like Siemens, Axial, Vestas, 360 Energy, Enertis/Barlovento Applus+, Chemik, Growatt, Pylontech, Grupo Zenit, Solfium, Solar DQD, Elecnor, Factiun, and Telener 360. The proximity of key milestones—such as the award scheduled for May 25 and the signing of contracts on June 8—adds a strategic dimension to the discussions.

Both meetings are part of the Future Energy Summit ecosystem, recognized as the most important event in Latin America in renewable energies, where the most influential companies in the sector and government authorities that define the course of the energy transition participate.
With hundreds of attendees at each edition, networking spaces are consolidating themselves as a key differentiator, facilitating the advancement of agreements and projects that directly impact the energy development of the countries.
The sessions can also be followed live through FES's official YouTube channel, expanding the reach of debates that are now central to understanding the evolution of electricity markets in Latin America.
