Minister Shinno, accompanied by the Vice Minister of Electricity, Luis Santillán, stated that MINEM reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a permanent dialogue with the actors in the electricity sector, promoting measures and regulatory improvements that contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
The expansion and availability of networks thus emerges as one of the central aspects for the development of the electrical system, especially given the need to guarantee adequate conditions for the connection and operation of new capacity.

It's worth noting that Shinno was appointed Minister of Energy and Mines by President Keiko Fujimori at the end of July, joining the new Peruvian government cabinet. He has previous experience in the public sector, having served as Vice Minister of Mines between 2012 and 2016.
