Hitachi Energy strengthened its global management team with the appointment of Andy Goggin as its new executive vice president and head of the Americas Region.
Goggin assumes this role with the goal of leading the company's growth and expansion in a critical and highly dynamic market. He succeeds Anthony Allard, who, after leading a period of strong regional strategic development, will dedicate himself fully to his role as the company's Marketing and Sales Director.
Goggin's appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the sector. The rapid growth of data centers driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and industrial electrification is reshaping global electricity demand.
To meet this challenge, Hitachi Energy is deploying the industry's largest investment program in the Americas, allocating more than $2.3 billion to expand its capacity, strengthen local manufacturing and service, and meet the growing demand for reliable and sustainable energy.

The Americas region, and the United States in particular, currently represents the company's fastest-growing markets. Its countries combine strong demand for electrical grid infrastructure, large-scale investments, and a robust manufacturing boom; elements that make the continent a fundamental pillar of Hitachi Energy's long-term growth strategy.
To lead these ambitious plans, Andy Goggin brings more than 27 years of experience in the energy industry, excelling in market development, sales, and organizational transformation. Prior to joining Hitachi Energy, he held senior management positions at Siemens Energy, including Vice President of Next Generation Sales for North America and, most recently, Senior Vice President of Power Generation Sales for the same region.
Goggin is a professional in Energy Engineering from the Maine Maritime Academy in the United States.
