HyperStrong has signed an agreement to develop a 100 MWh BESS system in Indonesia , marking its entry into the local energy storage market . The project will be executed in partnership with PT Vin Inti Nusa and will utilize the company's technology to support grid flexibility and resilience.
The signing took place during the Beijing Energy Industry Investment and Cooperation Promotion Conference, at a meeting that brought together companies, institutional representatives and actors linked to international cooperation in energy.
Kevin Changbin Qiu, senior vice president of HyperStrong International, participated on behalf of HyperStrong and highlighted during the event the need to prioritize the value of storage beyond the scale of projects.
The company focused on variables such as safety, efficiency and performance throughout the product's lifespan , as well as new applications linked to smart electrical infrastructure.

The 100 MWh agreement represents HyperStrong's first project in Indonesia and is part of the company's expansion strategy in Asia-Pacific.
The company did not, at the moment, provide details on the system's MW capacity, the construction schedule, the expected start date, or the associated investment amount.
He also did not specify the battery chemistry that will be used in this specific project.
HyperStrong expands its regional commitment after the 60 GWh agreement with CATL
The landing in Indonesia comes just a few months after another expansion move by the company.
In April, HyperStrong signed a strategic agreement with CATL for the supply of sodium-ion batteries for energy storage systems, with a duration of three years and a total announced volume of 60 GWh .
The size of the deal places it among the largest known announcements linked to this chemical so far.
However, the companies did not publicly specify whether those 60 GWh correspond to firm orders already associated with specific projects or to a long-term supply framework.
HyperStrong will be responsible for integrating these batteries into complete storage systems, primarily for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial applications.
The new 100 MWh project in Indonesia expands HyperStrong's international presence and adds its first concrete asset in that market, as the company seeks to increase its exposure to BESS projects in Asia-Pacific.
