IFM Investors (“IFM”) announced an agreement to acquire the remaining 50% of the share capital of Nala Renewables (“Nala”) from Trafigura Renewables S.à rl (“Trafigura”) (the “Transaction”) on behalf of the funds managed by IFM. Upon completion of the Transaction, the funds managed by IFM will own 100% of Nala.
Headquartered in London, Nala is a renewable energy platform with a multi-technology approach and comprehensive capabilities for managing the entire project lifecycle. Its asset portfolio is primarily located in select strategic markets across Europe, with over 2 GW of renewable energy capacity across solar PV, onshore wind, and battery energy storage systems.
This transaction underscores IFM's belief in the long-term fundamentals of renewable energy, including the growing need for energy security and reliable, low-carbon generation. Nala's operational experience, deep renewable energy expertise, and growing project pipeline offer an attractive opportunity to capitalize on the increasing demand for renewable energy and system flexibility.
The transaction is expected to be completed by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

“I would like to thank Trafigura for their valuable collaboration and contribution to Nala’s growth over the past six years. The dedication of the entire Nala team has been fundamental to this success. We are excited to support Nala’s next phase of growth and accelerate the energy transition by creating a world-class renewable energy platform,” said Neil Doherty, CEO of IFM Investors.
“For the past six years, Trafigura has been proud to have contributed to Nala’s development into a leading renewable energy platform. We are pleased that IFM will be supporting Nala in its next phase of growth,” added Jiri Zrust, Global Head of Operating Assets at Trafigura.
