The governor of La Pampa, Sergio Ziliotto, announced Public Tender No. 1/26 for the second stage of the General Pico Photovoltaic Solar Park, an initiative that will expand the renewable electricity generation capacity in the northern part of the province and consolidate the energy strategy of the Government of La Pampa based on planning, investment and public-private collaboration.
The call continues a development already underway.
Stage I, currently underway, includes a power of 15 megawatts (MW), while the new stage incorporates another 15 MW , within an expansion scheme that projects to reach 50 MW of installed power .
The initiative will be structured through a Temporary Union between Pampetrol and the private contractor.

Therefore, the provincial company will have a 20% stake, while the private partner will have the remaining 80%.
Pampetrol will contribute strategic assets such as the land, the supply contract, the feasibility of connection, the environmental studies and the prior development of the project.
In addition, the scheme includes a 20-year energy supply contract with the Provincial Energy Administration, with a fixed price for the first seven years and a regulated update mechanism for the remaining period, providing income predictability and a long-term investment horizon.
The energy generated will be used to supply the growing demand of the production network in the northern part of the province, supporting industrial expansion and ensuring energy availability for new projects.
The project will be developed within the General Pico Energy Supply and Productive Development Hub and will include design, supply and construction, assembly and commissioning, connection to the electrical system, operation and maintenance and the marketing of the energy generated.
Managing the price of energy means having one of the main variables of the value added to our primary production under our control, Ziliotto stated, and emphasized that the goal is to ensure energy in quality and quantity and at the best price to satisfy the demand of the productive sector.
The expansion of the Solar Park is part of a broader productive development strategy, and the government announced the submission of a bill to create an economic activity park in General Pico, coordinated between the provincial government, the municipality, and the private sector.
We are creating the conditions for infrastructure, access to supplies, and clear rules of the game.
We also talked about legal certainty, fiscal stability, and just as this project has a zero tax burden, it also has the entire framework to coordinate with the provincial government, he stated.
Ziliotto explained that the new plan envisions joint administration between the provincial government and the municipality, with private participation: "We are going to create all the conditions to encourage private investment, just as we make public investment, because there is also a lot of public investment here."
The only way to develop the province of La Pampa is through production and employment, he emphasized. How to participate: Interested companies can access the tender documents and submit their bids in accordance with the provisions of Public Tender No. 1/26.
The opening of bids will take place on September 8, 2026.
