Morocco has launched a new tender to develop at least 350 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity , distributed across six projects under the NOOR PV Multisites program.
The call is aimed at engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operation and maintenance (O&M) companies, which will have to assume both the execution of the parks and their subsequent operational management.
The projects will be located in five regions: Casablanca-Settat, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Marrakech-Safi, Souss-Massa and Guelmim-Oued Noun .
The plants will have individual capacities of between 40 MW and 170 MW , reaching a total of at least 350 MW.

The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) launched the prequalification process under reference RFQ/15/2026/MASEN , with a deadline for submitting applications until November 30, 2026 .
The scheme seeks to geographically expand the photovoltaic deployment and take advantage of different areas with solar resources, while adding new capacity to the national electricity system.
The call is also part of Morocco's strategy to further increase the share of renewables in its energy mix.
The country aims for clean energy sources to represent 52% of its electricity capacity by 2030 and seeks to raise its total renewable capacity above 15 GW .
At the end of 2025, Morocco had approximately 4.85 GW of installed renewable capacity , of which 546 MW corresponded to solar photovoltaic energy, according to the data included in the reference information.
Six plants and contracts with operation included
One of the central elements of the call is that MASEN is not just looking for a builder.
The successful bidder must assume the engineering, acquisition of equipment, construction, commissioning and subsequent operation and maintenance of the facilities.
The NOOR PV Multisites program also aims to strengthen local integration and value creation within the Moroccan renewable energy deployment, as well as territorially diversifying the new solar capacity.
The photovoltaic expansion is combined with other energy goals of the country, including strengthening networks, increasing storage and improving regional interconnections.
With this call, Morocco is once again bringing to market a new solar portfolio of significant scale: six projects, at least 350 MW and a contract that includes both EPC and O&M , with prequalification closing scheduled for the end of November.
