Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) recognized the conventional easement for passage and transit corresponding to the Mórrope Wind Power Plant project, a 224 MW initiative located in the districts of Mórrope and Lambayeque, in the department of Lambayeque.
The measure was formalized through Ministerial Resolution No. 398-2026-MINEM/DM, published in El Peruano , and covers an area of 5,5673 hectares , intended to guarantee access and transit related to the development of the wind farm.
The project has a definitive concession for electricity generation using renewable energy resources. Originally, the concession was granted to Orygen Perú SAA in November 2025, with a nominal capacity of 224 MW. Subsequently, in June 2026, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) approved the transfer of ownership of the concession to Mórrope Wind SAC , which is currently in charge of the project.

The area involved covers 5.5673 hectares and the easement was established for a period of 33 years , counted from the date of the celebration of the act.
The General Directorate of Electricity (DGE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) determined that the request submitted by Mórrope Wind was valid and that the recognition of the easement was supported by the Electricity Concessions Law and its regulations. The General Office of Legal Counsel also concluded that its establishment was legally viable.
With this ruling, Mórrope Wind must implement the safety regulations stipulated in electrical legislation and take the necessary measures to prevent damage or harm in the area affected by the easement. Furthermore, it must prevent any construction that could restrict the exercise of this right.
The authorization represents a new administrative advance for a 224 MW renewable energy initiative in Lambayeque, in a context where Peru continues to incorporate new wind and solar projects into its generation portfolio.
