Multisolar will hold a free webinar on July 16th at 7:00 PM for installers, integrators, and professionals in the photovoltaic sector. The training, which will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, will focus on the calculation and selection of electrical protections in Growatt Off Grid systems , one of the most important aspects for ensuring the safety and reliability of these types of installations.
The meeting will be led by Anddy Pérez , Head of Solar After-Sales at Multisolar , and will develop criteria for selecting protections in direct and alternating current, interpreting the applicable regulations and sizing the different protection devices used in isolated photovoltaic systems.
Participants will also analyze real-world scenarios with Growatt equipment and, at the end of the day, will take a knowledge test. The winner will receive a Growatt Infinity 1300 Pro portable power station .
Registration is now open and can be done through the following link: https://tinyurl.com/2vcxzxzc .

Security and regulatory compliance
The correct sizing of electrical protection devices is crucial for the performance of any off-grid photovoltaic system. As Anddy Pérez explains, "correct calculation and selection of protection devices is fundamental to guaranteeing the safety and reliability of off-grid systems."
The specialist points out that these devices protect people, equipment and the installation from overloads, short circuits, overvoltages and insulation failures , reducing operational risks and preventing damage to critical system components.
Furthermore, it highlights that "a suitable selection ensures compliance with current regulations and allows inverters, batteries and photovoltaic modules to operate within their design conditions, extending their lifespan and improving the overall performance of the installation."
Training with practical application
The webinar will include content on electrical protections, regulations, calculation of protections in alternating current and direct current , as well as the sizing of fuses, thermomagnetic switches, differentials, protections for strings and photovoltaic arrays, sectioning devices and protection against overvoltages.
According to Pérez, "at the end of the training, participants will be able to interpret the regulatory requirements applicable to off-grid photovoltaic systems and apply practical criteria to calculate and select protections in both direct current and alternating current."
The executive adds that the content will be based on concrete applications using Growatt technology, allowing the concepts to be directly applied to the design of new projects. "This will enable them to design safer, more reliable installations that meet current technical requirements," he states.
Regarding his role within the company, Pérez explains: "My role is Head of Solar After-Sales. I coordinate the after-sales sector, where we support our integrator clients in analyzing and resolving technical issues related to photovoltaic systems." In addition, the area provides support in the commissioning, configuration, repair, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of systems, as well as technical assistance to Multisolar's engineering, construction, and EPC departments.
