Nordex Group expanded its wind portfolio with the launch of the new N193/7.X , a turbine with up to 7.3 MW of power and a 193-meter rotor, developed to improve the performance and profitability of projects in medium and low wind areas.
The new wind turbine joins the Delta4000 series and combines a nominal capacity of 7.3 MW with 95-meter monoblock blades , seeking to capture more energy without abandoning a technological architecture already proven by the manufacturer.
According to Nordex, in typical low and medium wind locations the N193/7.X can produce up to 14% more energy than the N175/6.X , one of the main arguments with which the company seeks to position the new equipment.
The turbine will also be launched in different power configurations, allowing its operation to be adapted to the specific regulatory, connection and economic requirements of each market.

In Germany, for example, the first version will be limited to a maximum power of 6.6 MW , with the aim of optimizing the economics of the projects and, at the same time, complying with local permitting and grid requirements.
The company also highlights the potential of the new platform for Latin America.
“It’s a turbine specifically designed for Latin American markets, such as Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, among others. There are very high expectations for the new turbine, and we hope to see it in a contract soon,” Nordex representatives stated.
“The N193/7.X is the next chapter in the Delta4000 success story,” said José Luis Blanco , CEO of Nordex Group.
The executive stressed that the strategy involves maintaining a known base and introducing specific improvements to increase application flexibility.
The new machine retains core components of the Delta4000 platform, including the nacelle, turbine control system and electrical architecture , although with optimizations geared towards the new market conditions.
This approach seeks to reduce technological risk and maintain manufacturing, logistics, and installation processes that have already been tested in other variants of the platform.
At the same time, the larger rotor aims to improve the use of wind resources in sites where the average wind speed is lower and where the capacity factor can be decisive in achieving the expected profitability.
Mass production from 2029
Another differentiating factor of the N193/7.X will be its operational flexibility.
Nordex offers different operating modes to optimize energy production, capacity factor, noise level and lifespan , allowing the equipment to be configured according to the restrictions and objectives of each project.
The company also plans to offer different tower technologies and configuration alternatives to adapt the machine to different markets.
This approach can be especially relevant in developments where hub height, acoustic restrictions, network requirements or logistical conditions end up defining the final design of the park.
Mass production is planned for 2029 , so the new turbine will now begin its marketing and project planning journey before reaching industrial scale.
