With over 31 years of experience in carrying out comprehensive projects with engineering development and the assembly of industrial installations, Oscorp Energía y Telecomunicaciones has decided to strengthen its presence in the renewable energy sector.
To this end, Oscorp launched Renewable Energies , a new business unit that will allow the company to provide specialized support for the needs of new sustainable energy projects. "We saw the need to create this new company to provide more personalized attention to clients and respond to the growing demand for specialized renewable energy services," explained Sergio Salas , Business Development Manager of Oscorp Renewable Energies . In fact, adding the studies currently underway to those being negotiated with various clients, Oscorp Renewable Energies has a portfolio of approximately 200 MW. This initial success is partly due to the company's active presence in Costa Rica, with particular attention to the wind and solar energy tenders launched and those soon to be launched by the ICE Group. "Since the end of 2022, Costa Rica has seen a surge in solar and wind energy tenders issued by ICE, and we have already offered services for several selected projects," confirmed Salas, who indicated that due to the positive response from those bidders, the company is already working with clients seeking to submit designs for new tenders in the country and other markets in the region. Therefore, the company's reach is not limited to Costa Rica.
With its new division focused on renewable energy, Oscorp expects to consolidate its presence and growth in the medium term in a sector with great potential in the region. "We are very optimistic about the opportunities in Guatemala and Panama, where we have already identified clients and projects with whom we seek to establish a technical and commercial relationship," says Salas. The expansion strategy has also led the company to explore opportunities in the Dominican Republic and Ecuador, and is even analyzing options in North America.
In these countries, progress is being made in building relationships with clients with the aim of finalizing the corresponding contracts in the short term. However, the company remains cautious in its international expansion. "We want to provide excellent service and ensure that each step is completed safely," the executive emphasized. Oscorp Energías Renovables' vision is to be involved in the various stages of a renewable energy project, from its initial phase to its entire lifecycle, providing the necessary support for its clients. "We can get involved from the initial property search, potential analysis, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, to the final design and construction," Salas explained, clarifying that after providing component supply, EPC, or turnkey services, they can also handle operation and maintenance tasks. Strategic Alliances As part of its evolution, Oscorp Energías Renovables is about to finalize agreements with energy storage and fire safety providers. "We are about to sign partnerships with leading companies in these systems," Salas revealed. According to the business development manager, the idea behind incorporating these representations is to expand the services available to clients and their projects. "These systems will be key for wind and solar projects, as well as for the industrial sector, which requires storage solutions to optimize its energy consumption," he explained. He also revealed that the company seeks to strengthen its offering with specialized security systems for wind projects and other sectors, allowing it to broaden its portfolio of solutions.

Therefore, their business horizon expands even further.
