The Chilean Association of Women in Energy (AME Chile) officially announced the results of its election process for the 2026-2029 period, following the vote held at the members' assembly on Wednesday, May 27, and the subsequent validation by the Electoral Committee, in accordance with the organization's statutes.
In the instance, the list headed by Pía Suárez received the support of 94% of the Assembly , giving continuity to an institutional process initiated during the 2024-2025 period, in which Suárez served as the first elected president of AME Chile.
Her management was marked by the sustained growth of the association —with an average of nearly one new member joining per day—, the consolidation of AME as a national network in the energy sector and its international projection, through the creation of RedLACME, the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Women in Energy, also made up of peer associations from Argentina, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic.
“We receive this support as a collective responsibility. AME has grown because many women in the energy sector decided to dedicate their experience, time, and conviction to a shared purpose. I deeply thank the members who participated in this Assembly, and those who have built this network from different perspectives, for their trust. The cycle that begins challenges us to continue strengthening our community, opening more spaces for participation, and having a stronger impact on the conversations that will define the country's energy future,” said Pía Suárez , who headed the list elected for the 2026-2029 term.
