Erco Energía announces the closing of a US$129 million Series C equity investment round, aimed at strengthening its capacity to develop and construct energy projects in Colombia. This transaction ranks among the largest equity rounds announced by a Colombian company in 2026 and confirms the energy sector's role as one of the most attractive investment opportunities in the country.
The round included participation from investors Next Utility Ventures, a private equity fund of the Ventures EPM program, managed by Axon Partners Group, Augment Infrastructure, Norfund and Endeavor Catalyst, who contribute capital, institutional backing and experience in financing the energy transition in the region.
The funds will be used to accelerate the development of energy projects in various regions of the country. These projects expand installed generation capacity and contribute to the diversification of the national energy mix.
The company frames the operation as a commitment to Colombia: investing in energy is investing in the country's economic and social growth. Erco assumes its role as an infrastructure builder, convinced that energy development generates employment, revitalizes regions, and reflects the strength of the Colombian energy market and the fundamentals of the business.

According to Luis Fernando Gómez, financial manager of Erco Energía, “this operation reaffirms the Organization’s purpose of being a vehicle for energy growth and prosperity for Colombia, a country with enormous energy potential. With these investments, the company will be able to continue building infrastructure, sustainability, and growth for the nation and Colombians.”
