The Association of Electric Power Distributors of the Argentine Republic (Adeera ) and the Argentine Energy Development Plant ( Udea ) are keeping open the call to participate in the second edition of the Bachofen-Ghirelli Award " Outstanding Women in Energy " , an initiative that recognizes the trajectory, talent and contribution of women who drive the development of the Argentine energy sector.
Applications will remain open until September 11th and are welcome from candidates representing energy companies, distributors, universities, faculties, engineering colleges and centers, academies, and other institutions linked to the sector. Self-nominations are also accepted.
The award is named after Elisa Bachofen and Beatriz Ghirelli, two leading figures in Argentine engineering who made history through their leadership and paved the way for women's participation in traditionally male-dominated fields.
This year's awards will be given in the categories of Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion, Sustainability , and a special distinction for Inspiring Career Achievement , intended for women whose career represents an example for future generations.

The evaluation will be carried out by a jury made up of leading figures in the academic field and winners of the previous edition, who will analyze the impact of the works, the originality of the initiatives and the professional path of the candidates.
The winners will be awarded on October 14, during the opening ceremony of CIDEL Argentina 2026 , one of the main technical meetings for electrical distribution in the region.
The terms and conditions, along with the required documentation for participation, are available on the Congress website.
