S-5! presents PVKIT® 3.0 , the next generation of its railless solar mounting system for metal roofs, available in a standard configuration and with an optional 50 mm riser. The new system gives engineers and installers the flexibility to select the roof-to-module clearance that best suits each project.
As rooftop solar systems increasingly incorporate optimizers, microinverters, and other BOS components that require more space beneath the modules, the PVKIT 3.0 addresses this need. The integrated riser provides additional clearance for cable routing, MLPEs, and wiring access, while the standard configuration maintains a low-profile installation when additional height is not required.
“The PVKIT 3.0 was designed to give engineers and installers greater control over the clearance between the ceiling and the module,” said Rob Haddock, CEO and founder of S-5!. “The option to choose between a standard configuration or one with an integrated 50mm riser makes it easier to adapt to different wiring, electronics, and BOS component requirements, while maintaining the simplicity of railless mounting.”
Greater flexibility below the module
PVKIT 3.0 combines with S-5 clamps and brackets to create a complete DirectAttach™ system, engineered for metal roofing. On standing seam and concealed fastening metal roofs, it provides a secure, drill-free attachment, preserving roof integrity and reducing the risk of corrosion.

The redesigned system is compatible with modules with frames from 28 to 35 mm and incorporates an optional riser that extends the application range to PV module frames from 25 to 35 mm.
Compared to conventional rail mounting systems, PVKIT 3.0:
- It reduces the weight, volume and carbon footprint of the mounting system by up to 85%.
- It uses approximately 70% fewer components.
- It improves load distribution by 25%.
- It reduces installation time by between 30% and 50%.
- It reduces the costs of materials and components by between 20% and 40%.
- It completely eliminates the need to cut rails on site.
- It significantly reduces freight and logistics costs.
- It is not limited by the location of the beams, which provides greater flexibility in the design of the arrangement.
“PVKIT 2.0 established a proven approach for attaching solar systems directly to metal roofs,” said Haddock. “PVKIT 3.0 builds on that foundation and incorporates greater clearance and design flexibility, necessary for today’s increasingly complex rooftop solar systems.”
Designed for efficient installation
PVKIT 3.0 is delivered pre-assembled and installed with a single tool, reducing the number of components crews must organize and handle on the roof. Its lightweight design also reduces transport volume and simplifies on-site logistics—important considerations for projects in Latin America that face labor constraints, restricted roof access, and increasingly ambitious sustainability goals.
Stainless steel teeth integrate the electrical bonding and grounding between the module frames, while corrosion-resistant components are engineered to withstand prolonged exposure to demanding rooftop conditions. The system is backed by S-5's lifetime warranty!
