Siemens Energy appointed Sebastián Díaz Gallardo as the new Country Lead for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay , a position he officially assumed on September 7 and from which he will lead the company's representation in the three countries.
The executive replaces Fernando Monteverde , who left Siemens Energy on September 4 after more than three decades of experience and holding the position of Lead Country of the Argentina Cluster.
Díaz Gallardo takes up the new position after almost 20 years within the company , where he held various positions related to finance, commercial management and business development, in addition to leadership roles.
Since joining in 2007, he has accompanied the evolution of Siemens Energy and developed expertise both on the company's operations and on the particularities of the regional energy market.

In this new stage, his responsibilities will include continuing the company's strategy in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay , as well as strengthening ties with clients, institutions, suppliers and other stakeholders in the sector.
The change in regional management also comes at a time of corporate transformation for Siemens Energy.
The transition to Omterra
Following the completion of the license period resulting from its spin-off from Siemens AG, Siemens Energy will progressively begin its transition to Omterra , its new independent global brand.
The new identity will seek to unify Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa under the same corporate structure, maintaining the continuity of existing operations, agreements and services with customers and business partners.
The process will be gradual and will be supported, according to the company, by its current financial and operational position.
In this way, Díaz Gallardo will assume leadership of Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay in parallel to a new stage for the group on a global scale, with the challenge of maintaining the regional strategy and the relationship with the energy ecosystem during the transition process towards Omterra .
