Solis , a leading global manufacturer of solar and energy storage solutions, proudly announces the successful commissioning of the first Solis EverCore ESS energy storage system in Latin America. Installed at the Macromec mining facility in San Bernardo, Santiago, Chile, this project represents a significant step forward in the region's transition to cleaner, more resilient, and energy-independent operations.
The project incorporates a 261 kWh Solis EverCore energy storage system, combined with a 125 kW ESS hybrid inverter, integrated into a photovoltaic system composed of 220 high-efficiency 620 W solar modules , reaching an installed capacity of 135 kWp . Developed for Macromec, a company that provides services to the Chilean mining sector, the system was designed to ensure reliable off-grid operation, improve power quality, stabilize voltage fluctuations, and significantly reduce the installation's carbon footprint.
For Alejandro Salinas , General Manager of Macromec, the choice of the EverCore solution was a strategic decision based on the system's integration and operational reliability.
“One of the main advantages of the EverCore solution is that both the inverter and the battery system are developed by the same manufacturer. This ensures seamless communication between all components, offering superior performance, easier commissioning, and greater operational reliability compared to systems that combine equipment from different brands.”

A new era for energy storage in Latin America
The commissioning of the first EverCore ESS system in Latin America marks a significant milestone not only for Solis, but also for the regional renewable energy market. As Latin American industries face a growing need to strengthen their energy resilience, reduce operating costs, and meet sustainability goals, advanced energy storage solutions are becoming an essential component of modern energy infrastructure.
The EverCore has been specifically designed to respond to these challenges through a fully integrated solution that combines energy storage, intelligent energy management, and hybrid inverters into a single system.
Among its main advantages are:
- Integrated architecture of batteries and inverters developed within the same ecosystem, optimizing communication and system performance.
- Advanced Energy Management System (EMS) capabilities for intelligent load management and energy dispatch.
- Compatibility with off-grid and microgrid applications, allowing for greater energy independence.
- Improved power quality and voltage stabilization for critical industrial operations.
- Rapid implementation and simplified start-up processes.
- Scalable design for commercial and industrial applications.
- Greater use of renewable energy and reduced dependence on conventional energy sources.
Driving Chile's energy transition
Chile has established itself as one of the most dynamic renewable energy markets in Latin America, driven by ambitious decarbonization goals, world-class solar resources, and growing industrial demand for sustainable energy solutions. The mining sector, in particular, is adopting technologies that reduce emissions without compromising operational continuity in highly demanding environments.
The successful implementation of the first EverCore ESS demonstrates how advanced energy storage can contribute to these goals by facilitating greater penetration of renewable energy, improving energy resilience, and accelerating the country's transition to a cleaner energy future.
Setting a benchmark for future projects
As EverCore's first installation in Latin America, Macromec's project sets a new benchmark for future deployments of energy storage systems in the region's commercial and industrial sectors. This project demonstrates the growing maturity of integrated solar and storage solutions and highlights the fundamental role that advanced battery systems will play in Latin America's energy transformation.
With this important achievement, Solis continues to strengthen its commitment to offering innovative, reliable and future-proof energy solutions, helping companies achieve higher levels of sustainability, energy security and operational efficiency.
