Soltec , a company specializing in photovoltaic energy solutions, has appointed David Menéndez Martín as its new general manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In this role, Menéndez will lead the company's operations in the region with the aim of driving new business opportunities, deepening its presence in priority markets, and developing new avenues for growth, leveraging Soltec's international experience and technological capabilities.
This addition further strengthens Soltec's international structure, based on a regional management model that can respond more directly to the specific needs of each market. For its various EMEA locations, this approach will allow the company to continue leveraging its experience and technological capabilities in a diverse and evolving region where efficiency, performance, and project optimization are increasingly important.
David Menéndez has over 20 years of experience in the energy and renewable energy sector, combining technical knowledge of renewable energy and electrical systems with expertise in strategy, project development, operations, and investment. His multidisciplinary profile has allowed him to approach the energy transition from different perspectives and work in markets with diverse characteristics and needs.
Throughout his career, he has held positions of responsibility at international companies such as GE Power, Woodward, Siemens Gamesa, and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV). At FRV, he led the global strategy and development of the energy storage business, contributing to the company's international expansion.

Based in Madrid, Menéndez has also lived and worked in Germany and London, an experience that has allowed him to develop an international perspective on the energy sector and firsthand knowledge of various European markets. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a master's degree in Renewable Energy in Electrical Systems, both from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
Renewed international structure for a new stage of growth
The appointment of David Menéndez marks a new phase for Soltec, focused on consolidating its position as a technology company specializing in solar trackers and strengthening its presence in international markets with the greatest potential. Following the recent appointments of regional managers for North America and Latin America, Menéndez's addition as head of EMEA continues the process of strengthening the company's regional structure.
This model seeks to combine Soltec's international scale and experience with a deeper understanding of local dynamics, allowing it to tailor its technological and commercial offerings to the needs of clients in each market. The company is thus reinforcing a structure geared both towards identifying new growth opportunities and consolidating its position in countries where it has a more established track record.
EMEA will play a key role in this strategy. Soltec has extensive experience in the European photovoltaic market, operating in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, and Denmark, among others. Building on this experience, the company aims to further strengthen its position in the region through technological solutions designed to improve the efficiency, productivity, and performance of photovoltaic installations.
The region is also integrated into a distinctly international business model. In 2025, more than 60% of Soltec's revenue came from international markets, including Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Mexico. This international presence is one of the cornerstones of the company's new phase and reflects the ability of a Spanish technology company to compete and develop solutions for photovoltaic projects in diverse markets.
Mariano Berges, CEO of Soltec, values the appointment: “David’s addition represents another step in strengthening our international structure. His knowledge of the sector, his experience in different markets, and his ability to combine a technical and business perspective will help us continue developing our position in EMEA and better respond to our clients’ needs.”
For his part, David Menéndez stated, “I am joining Soltec with great enthusiasm to contribute to this new phase for the company and to put my experience at the service of a project with a solid technological track record and a clear international focus. The current energy transition offers significant opportunities to continue growing and consolidating Soltec's position, and I take on this responsibility with the aim of contributing to that growth.”
