Sungrow is once again placing Argentina at the center of its regional agenda. This Wednesday, June 10, the company will hold the “Sungrow Experience – Technical Sessions: LATAM Tour” in Buenos Aires, a technical and technological event geared towards developers, EPC contractors, integrators, operators, and key players in the energy sector.
The event will take place at Rooftop Puerto Madero , located at Avenida Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane 168, Dique 1, between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM .
The meeting comes at a particularly attractive time for the Argentine market. The AlmaSADI tender has generated strong interest in large-scale energy storage systems, with bids for approximately 8,300 MW , compared to an original target of 700 MW , with a 10% tolerance.
This volume demonstrates that there is a large pipeline of BESS projects under development and that Argentina could become a relevant location for technology manufacturers with the capacity to supply power conversion solutions, grid integration, operation and after-sales service.

In that context, Sungrow will seek to showcase its technological proposal for the local market, combining presentations on inverters, batteries, logistics, services and grid stability.
An event to showcase technology and local support
The “Sungrow Experience” proposes a sequence of technical talks that aim to answer specific market questions.
The opening will be led by Luiz Biagni, Head of Sales South LATAM Cone , and Belén Trezanos, Key Account Manager , who will head the welcome talk “About Sungrow” .
An initial presentation by an Argentine entity will then take place, before moving on to the technical content of the day.
One of the first sessions will be the talk “Topology with String Inverter vs. Central Inverter,” presented by Constanza Muñoz, Application Engineer . This topic is crucial for developers and EPC contractors who need to define technical criteria, efficiency, modularity, operation, and maintenance in solar and energy storage projects.
Later, Jorge Cabrera, Service BD Manager , will present “Service Experience,” an event focused on operational and technical support. In large-scale projects, service availability, response times, maintenance, and local backup become decisive factors in evaluating providers.
There will also be a session dedicated to logistics, led by Claudia Méndez, Operational Manager , entitled “Logistics Experience.” In the case of Argentina, this topic is particularly relevant due to the challenges related to imports, delivery times, team coordination, and timely project completion.
BESS, granularity and network stability
The segment most closely related to storage will begin at 5:10 PM , with the presentation “Granularity, flexibility and availability: the string approach to power conversion for BESS” , by Tomás Fuentealba, Application Engineer .
Then, at 5:50 p.m. , Valentín Romero, Application Engineer , will give the presentation “Beyond energy injection: the active role of IBRs in network stability” .
AlmaSADI and the next chapter of storage
Although the Sungrow event has a technical and corporate focus, the market context is unavoidable.
AlmaSADI showed a response far exceeding the initially anticipated volume . If the allocation remains around the 700 MW established in the tender specifications, more than 7,000 MW of projects could be left out of this first call for bids, but not necessarily off the system's radar.
In parallel, the market is closely watching the possible progress of the Additional Reliability Reserve Service , known in the technical field as SerCA , which could enable new rounds for storage, thermal generation and hybrids.
This instrument appears as a potential way to give continuity to the pipeline of projects that are not awarded in AlmaSADI, although its procedure still needs to be approved by the Energy Secretariat.
For manufacturers like Sungrow, this scenario opens up a concrete opportunity: to position themselves early in a market that could move from an initial one-off tender to a scheme of periodic battery additions.
Meeting Agenda
The day will begin at 2:00 PM with accreditation.
At 3:00 PM , Luiz Biagni and Belén Trezanos will give a welcome with the institutional presentation about Sungrow.
At 3:10 PM , an initial talk will be given by an Argentine organization.
At 3:20 PM , Constanza Muñoz will discuss the comparison between string and central inverters.
At 4:00 PM , Jorge Cabrera will present the company's service experience.
After the coffee break, at 4:40 pm , Claudia Méndez will give a presentation on logistics.
From 17:10 , Tomás Fuentealba will delve into power conversion for BESS, while at 17:50 Valentín Romero will address the role of IBRs in network stability.
The event will continue with a cocktail reception from 7:00 PM and will end at 9:00 PM with the closing ceremony and raffle.
Buenos Aires, a strategic location for Sungrow
Holding the Sungrow Experience in Buenos Aires serves as a sign of the company's interest in gaining a foothold in Argentina and the Southern Cone.
The country is going through a period of increasing focus on storage, driven by the need to strengthen system reliability, make better use of renewable generation, and enable new investments.
In this context, Sungrow will seek to bring its international experience in BESS inverters and solutions to the local market, but also to showcase a comprehensive support proposal: technology, engineering, service, logistics and technical support.
For developers, EPC contractors, and investors, the event presents an opportunity to learn firsthand about the solutions of one of the most active companies in the global renewable energy and storage market.
And for Sungrow, Argentina presents itself as a market with a growing appetite for batteries, a relevant pipeline, and a regulatory discussion that could open new opportunities beyond AlmaSADI.
