Suntech presents its latest N-type photovoltaic and energy storage solutions at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026, highlighting advancements in quarter-cut cell technology, high-efficiency modules, and integrated solar storage applications.
The exhibition, which will take place from September 22-24 at the NEC in Birmingham, offers Suntech the opportunity to connect with customers and industry partners and exchange views on the evolution of the UK energy market.
Supporting the growing UK solar market.
The UK solar market continues to expand, driven by strong growth in rooftop installations and the increasing integration of solar power with battery storage. As solar power becomes more prevalent in residential, commercial, and large-scale applications, the market is placing greater emphasis on technologies that efficiently utilize available space while providing reliable power generation.

As the integration of solar storage gains momentum, the demand for high-efficiency and reliable photovoltaic technologies continues to grow in large-scale projects, industrial and commercial rooftops, and residential applications. These requirements make module efficiency, energy yield, and long-term performance increasingly important considerations for projects in the UK.
In this context, Suntech is introducing its latest photovoltaic and energy storage solutions to the UK market, focusing on efficiency, energy performance, flexibility and long-term performance.
From silicon wafers to modules
The exhibition showcases Suntech's products at key stages of photovoltaic panel manufacturing, from silicon wafers and solar cells to modules. It also highlights the ongoing refinement of N-type quarter-circle cut cell technology, with particular attention to optimizing cell architecture and current distribution to reduce energy losses and improve power generation.
By incorporating these cellular-level advancements into module design, Suntech is developing high-efficiency module solutions for a variety of applications. This approach is particularly relevant for projects where maximizing available installation space and energy performance are key considerations, such as residential and commercial rooftops.
Advances in TOPCon N-type technology
This technology is further demonstrated in the Suntech Ultra T 3.0 Quarter-Cut modules, one of the main attractions of the exhibition. Based on Suntech's patented TOPCon 3.0 cell technology, the Ultra T 3.0 combines an optimized quarter-cut cell architecture with advanced high-density encapsulation.
The module achieves a cell conversion efficiency of up to 27.5% and a module efficiency exceeding 25.2%, enabling higher power output and ensuring long-term reliability. Its high-efficiency design contributes to optimal use of available space on rooftops and in projects, a key factor for the diverse solar applications in the UK market.
Also on display is the Ultra T 2.0, a 520W half-cell N-type TOPCon module, which further expands Suntech's range of modules for commercial and residential applications.
Expanding the integration of solar and storage systems
In addition to its photovoltaic product portfolio, Suntech is also showcasing its proprietary SunStorage energy storage systems for commercial and residential applications at the exhibition. Featuring a modular design, high-voltage architecture, and flexible expansion capabilities, these systems can be combined with Suntech's photovoltaic modules to provide integrated solutions for homes and small businesses, enabling solar power generation during the day, energy storage, nighttime power supply, and backup power during outages.
SunStorage offers both AC and DC coupling solutions, providing flexibility for different system configurations and application needs. The combination of photovoltaic modules and energy storage enables a more coordinated approach to solar energy generation, storage, and consumption, supporting the growing demand for integrated solar and storage solutions in the UK market.
