In line with its strategy to refocus its renewable energy development towards large-scale industrial solar and wind farms to take advantage of economies of scale, TotalEnergies announces the completion of the sale of all its distributed generation solar assets.
This involves approximately 170 MW of capacity , mainly rooftop installations across 7 European countries (France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg) for Amarenco and AMPYR Distributed Energy.
In this way, the company ends its distributed generation activities in these countries.
Distributed generation involves the development of projects generally smaller than 3 MW, for which TotalEnergies' business model is less suitable than for large industrial-scale power plants that offer economies of scale.

Amarenco and AMPYR Distributed Energy will continue to operate the assets to ensure continuous supply to customers.
This divestment will not affect TotalEnergies' pace of development in renewable energy, as the company installed 8 GW of gross renewable capacity in the last twelve months, reaching 35 GW of gross capacity by the end of March 2026, and aims to maintain this annual pace until 2030 to exceed 75 GW.
TotalEnergies and electricity
TotalEnergies is building a competitive portfolio that combines renewable energy (solar, onshore and offshore wind) and flexible assets (CCGT, storage) to deliver clean and stable energy to its customers. By the end of April 2026, TotalEnergies will have nearly 36 GW of gross renewable energy generation capacity and aims to achieve more than 100 TWh of net electricity production by 2030.
