Although the benefits package prepared by the national government has yet to be implemented, the first distributed generation installations are already underway.
According to Maximiliano Morrone , National Director of Renewable Energy Promotion, the first generating user covered by National Law No. 27,424 will be connected to the transmission network in the coming days.
"We are very pleased with how distributed generation is being implemented."
"In less than a week, the first generating user will be ready, and there are already several others coming behind," Morrone exclusively told Energía Estratégica Argentina.

"In Buenos Aires with Edenor, Edesur and in Cordoba with Epec, its implementation is imminent."
We are also making progress with other provinces, the official added.
Today there are 11 provinces that have joined, and 5 more will be added that have already submitted their membership projects to the legislative branch.
In the short term, the outlook is promising.
The government expects that those regions that held elections this weekend will continue with the corresponding process as soon as possible.
That is why the national director of Renewable Energy Promotion is encouraged to affirm that "in two months 75% of the country, which would represent 85% of the demand, will have the possibility of being a generating user based on National Law 27424.
In addition to the tax benefits that the national government would guarantee this year, a new specific line of credit for the sector is being added, intended for both energy efficiency and renewable energy projects through the Green Climate Fund; therefore, many tools will be available for the industry to begin developing.
Based on the above and with optimism, Maximiliano Morrone said that once distributed generation begins nationwide, the growth curve of renewables will accelerate.
"The goal of reaching 1000 megawatts by 2030 is, for me, a minimum objective," he said.
What's needed for this sector to take off in the country? After publishing the regulations for solar photovoltaics, the details for other renewable technologies still need to be released. Drafts are already in place, along with the full package of benefits, such as tax credits and the implementation of the Fund for Distributed Generation of Renewable Energies (FODIS).
The law already stipulates that for this first year of its entry into force, a budget of $500,000,000 must be allocated to FODIS.
This amount would allow for the mass implementation of new distributed renewable energy systems across the country.
"We are working firmly on FODIS, having secured the budget line and after having signed an agreement with the Investment and Foreign Trade Bank (BICE) at the end of last month."
Therefore, the launch of the first rounds of tax benefits is also imminent.
But what is the procedure? When can the benefits be requested?
To answer these types of questions, the Government organized a free online seminar dedicated to the actors who will lead the development of distributed renewable energy in each of the country's provinces.
"We hope to have the online presence of all industry representatives."
The intention is to clear up any doubts that may exist about the implementation, the portals, etc., said Maximiliano Morrone.
