Jinko Solar 's 2030 vision in Peru is marked by the growth of the sector, the consolidation of strategic alliances and the advancement of photovoltaic solutions integrated with storage .
This was projected by Tomás Harfuch , Sales Manager DG Andes of the company, during Panel 7 of the recent edition of FES Peru , entitled "Technological and constructive solutions for the take-off of solar projects of different scales in Peru".
The executive expressed optimism about the country's solar potential and its ability to attract investment.
"We plan to support a lot of photovoltaic projects and developments," said Harfuch , during the panel " Technological and construction solutions for the take-off of solar projects of different scales in Peru ," held during the FES Peru event.
Jinko Solar stated that the key to accelerating solar deployment lies in collaborative work among all actors in the photovoltaic ecosystem .
"I believe that by joining forces we can make the sector stronger, more resilient, and that projects will develop more dynamically, faster and better," the executive stated.
Harfuch's vision focused on an articulated value chain : module manufacturers, inverter and structure suppliers, engineering services, installation, logistics and civil works.
I thought it was essential that we all work together.
"Obviously there will be competition, but if we collaborate, the sector will become stronger and we will all be better off," he said.
Regarding the conditions of the Peruvian market, Harfuch highlighted the need to adapt the solutions to the country's geography , which includes areas with difficult access.
In Peru there are some places that are difficult to access.
"So, working as a team from different areas seemed super important to me," she said.
This geographical context is a real challenge: Peru combines coast, mountains and jungle, which demands adapted technologies and logistics.
Additionally, Jinko Solar identified that Peru has a strategic place within its portfolio in Latin America , being a market that rotates between third and fourth place in terms of sales, alternating with Ecuador, behind Argentina and Chile.
They also emphasized the adoption of storage solutions as a fundamental part of the energy future.
Harfuch confirmed that the firm is already incorporating BESS solutions into the conversation to complement its photovoltaic module offerings.
For the distributed generation market, Jinko expects to contribute a significant volume: by 2025 it projects that this segment could mobilize around 100 MW and aims to capture between 30% and 35% of that market.
Regarding module technology, the most in-demand line in Peru is Tiger Neo (HL4 versions up to 625 Wp and HL5 up to 730 Wp), with features such as bifacial modulation, N-type and half-cell.
In addition, Jinko launched the Tiger Neo 3.0 , based on TopCon technology, with a power output of up to 670 W and an efficiency of 24.8%.
Greater bifaciality, excellent performance in low irradiance and low annual degradation for a longer lifespan , the company highlighted, emphasizing the versatility of these modules to meet diverse technical requirements.
Finally, Harfuch warned that, although solar panel prices have been at historically low levels, a slight uptick is not necessarily negative, as it can strengthen the financial health of manufacturers.
He also mentioned risk variables such as the costs of silicon, glass and aluminum; geopolitical contexts; possible international sanctions; or changes in tax refund regimes.
Looking ahead, the executive emphasized the strategic role of storage for the consolidation of solar energy in the region .
"I believe the emergence of energy storage will be a determining factor, and that without a doubt by 2030 we will see integrated solutions with generation and battery systems," Harfuch predicted.
Finally, he emphasized that Peru has enormous potential and that the development of the sector will depend on the joint work of all stakeholders.
We must all continue working together to develop that potential, he concluded.
