The new division, Energía Estratégica Storage, will focus on the main pillars of battery-storage development including tenders, regulations, ongoing projects, awarded contracts, technological launches, product innovation and interviews with leading industry figures aiming to become a comprehensive and reliable information source for the sector.

The initiative will also include the organisation of webinars and virtual events dedicated to BESS systems, serving as spaces for discussion and knowledge-sharing on technological advances, emerging business models and regulatory challenges.
The new platform will feature sections devoted to showcasing products and technological solutions, offering visibility to manufacturers, integrators and suppliers wishing to present innovations in battery systems, management software or related infrastructure.
The creation of Energía Estratégica Storage follows the success of PVBook 2025, the recently launched international photovoltaic catalogue, which has already become a key reference for the solar industry in the region.
This new specialised unit also responds to the rapid expansion of battery-storage capacity in Latin America, which now exceeds 1,560 MW of installed capacity, according to data from the Latin American Energy Organisation (OLADE).

This growth not only reflects market maturity but also the recognition of storage as a strategic component of national energy planning.
For instance, Argentina awarded 12 projects totalling 713 MW under its AlmaGBA tender, while Chile currently has over 14 GW of BESS projects under environmental review and is expected to reach 2 GW of operational capacity by January 2026, surpassing by four years the original target set for 2030.
Pardow at Energy Week: "The drop in BESS costs was a window of opportunity that Chile knew how to seize.
Meanwhile, Colombia is advancing the development of a regulatory framework to integrate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into the national grid, recognising them as strategic network assets.
Central America and the Caribbean are also showing steady progress. Guatemala will, for the first time, include BESS systems in its PEG-5 tender for 1,400 MW, while the Dominican Republic and Honduras will do the same through tenders for 600 MW and 1,500 MW, respectively the latter under a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) scheme that foresees asset transfer to the State after 15 years of operation.
At the same time, Panama has extended its electricity-tender schedule until 2029, adding storage as an eligible technology, with a 50-MW tender planned for 2028.

The launch of Energía Estratégica Storage also forms part of the group"s broader strategy of thematic specialisation, which includes initiatives such as FES Storage a meeting point for leaders and experts in the battery market promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration across the sector.
The 2025 FES tour will conclude with two major events in Colombia and Chile, setting the agenda for the main challenges and opportunities ahead.
The fifth edition of FES Colombia will take place on 21 22 October in Bogotá, followed by the fourth edition of FES Chile on 26 27 November in Santiago, bringing together more than 500 leaders to discuss the future of renewables and storage.
After another successful year that confirmed FES as a key space for debate and business development within the renewable-energy sector, 2026 promises an even more ambitious agenda focused on networking, strategic dialogue and high-value content.
