Future Energy Summit (FES) Iberia 2025 will focus on how to strengthen energy security at a decisive moment for the sector. The event will take place on June 24 at the Colegio de Caminos, Auditorio Betancourt in Madrid, and will bring together representatives from Iberdrola Renovables, Grenergy, Cox Energy, EDP Renewables, Schletter, Elmya, Galp, Sonnedix and Jinko Solar, among other leading companies, to discuss concrete solutions to the challenges facing the Iberian electricity system"s transformation.
In this context, senior executives from these companies will address the structural factors currently shaping system resilience: from the growing share of renewables to price volatility and the urgent need to adapt infrastructure to new operational demands.
The insights of leaders such as Julio Castro (Iberdrola Renovables), David Ruiz (Grenergy), Enrique Riquelme (Cox Energy), Rocío Sicre (EDP Renewables), Alejandro Ramos (Schletter), Carlos Píñar Celestino (Elmya), Fernando Cremades (Galp), Carolina Nester (Sonnedix) and Lucía Dólera (Jinko Solar) will be key to outlining a roadmap for energy security strategies in an increasingly complex and dynamic environment.

The event will bring together over 400 executives from energy companies, utilities, technology firms, investment funds and governments, in a full day of technical panels, strategic sessions and high-level networking, aimed at fostering concrete alliances and agreements across the entire energy value chain.
One of the main topics on the agenda will be the recent "blackout, where discussions will revolve around the need for long-term market stability mechanisms, such as capacity markets, storage technologies, and the role of hybridization, digital grid management solutions, new energy contracting models, and comprehensive system planning.
The summit will also explore renewable market trends in Spain and the broader region, with key stakeholders such as Repsol, Xunta de Galicia, Alantra, Matrix Renewables and 360 Energy sharing their perspectives on regulatory frameworks needed to ensure competitiveness, accelerate investment, and sustain renewable energy growth in the medium and long term.
Relive FES 2024:In addition to technical panels, FES Iberia 2025 will feature in-depth discussions on regulatory opportunities in Southern Europe, procurement strategies by energy offtakers, and a dedicated session on synergies with Latin America.
This will include the participation of the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Guatemala, with Víctor Hugo Ventura presenting the region"s most significant renewable energy auction process expected to mobilize over USD 5 billion in generation and transmission investments.
Another key focus of the summit will be energy price instability across Europe, highlighted by negative pricing records in the Iberian Peninsula, reflecting the mismatch between renewable generation and grid absorption capacity.
FES Iberia 2025 is set to be a strategic gathering of more than 400 energy executives, along with high-level public sector representatives, in an active networking environment with the leaders transforming the Iberian energy matrix.
The event stands out as a key platform to anticipate trends, enable high-level decision-making, and discuss technical and strategic solutions to ensure energy security in a high-renewables future.
