On 19 February at 11:00 a.m. (Argentina time), a new free webinar titled "Renewable Energy in Argentina: Opportunities in the New Investment Context will take place, organised by Energía Estratégica.
The event will bring together senior representatives from leading companies involved in power generation, project development, manufacturing and technological innovation.
The aim is to provide an in-depth analysis of the new regulatory frameworks and the collaboration opportunities emerging across the sector, as Argentina advances a structural transformation of its energy system.
This transition is increasingly centred on bilateral power purchase agreements (PPAs) through the Mercado a Término (MAT), which is becoming the country"s main contracting mechanism.
The virtual and free-to-attend webinar will feature Cristhian Romero, Business Development Manager LatAm at Gonvarri Solar Steel; Federico Garín, CEO of Solar DQD; Lucas Estrada, President of EPSE San Juan; Gabriela Guzzo, Commercial Manager at Genneia; and Marcos Donzino, Head of Sales South LatAm at JA Solar.

The discussion will focus on identifying tangible synergies among well-established players that are already operating in Argentina and are positioned at different stages of the renewable energy value chain.
From an industrial perspective, Gonvarri Solar Steel is seeking to deepen its presence in Argentina as part of its regional growth strategy.
With more than 30 GW of solar trackers delivered globally 8 GW of which are in Latin America the company aims to engage with local developers and EPC contractors from early project stages in order to secure strategic agreements during 2026.
Its recent product launch, the TracSmarT+2P, expands the range of technical solutions adapted to local terrain and project designs, enhancing robustness and efficiency for utility-scale solar developments.
In this context, Solar DQD stands out as a natural partner.
Having delivered more than 1,200 MW of solar capacity as an EPC contractor in Argentina, the company has already built two of the country"s three largest solar parks.
It is targeting 400 MW of owned capacity awarded by 2026, including 15 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Among its flagship projects is El Quemado, developed by YPF Luz, which is currently 60% complete and has 100 MW ready for commercial operation.
From the public sector, EPSE San Juan is advancing the consolidation of a solar hub that combines grid infrastructure, technology manufacturing and project development.
The company is leading the construction of a new transmission line with 180 MW of capacity, a critical asset to unlock additional renewable projects in the province.
In addition, its solar panel manufacturing plant is expected to enter operation in the coming months, with a projected annual capacity of 450 500 MW.
EPSE also continues to develop more than 350 MW of projects in Tocota, an area with one of Argentina"s strongest solar resources.
This integrated vision is complemented by Genneia, which is on track to exceed 2 GW of installed renewable capacity during the first half of 2026.
The company is also a regional leader in green finance, having issued more than USD 1.28 billion in green bonds, and is actively developing new projects in energy storage, power transmission and supply for large energy consumers such as data centres.
JA Solar one of the world"s top three photovoltaic manufacturers will also contribute to the discussion, bringing insights not only from the solar PV segment but also from energy storage.
The company will showcase its PV + BESS solutions, which combine TOPCon modules with 5 MWh containerised battery systems designed for utility-scale applications.
Overall, the webinar represents a concrete opportunity to understand how the strategies of key renewable energy players are aligning with Argentina"s new market rules.
It will also provide a valuable platform to explore synergies that can accelerate the energy transition in Argentina and across the wider region.
